Representatives from Community District 4, the Hells Kitchen Neighborhood Association, and Friends of the High Line, are all expected to testify Monday at the City Council Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchise’s on the proposed Hudson Yards rezoning. The groups will likely raise concerns that the project fails to provide sufficient affordable housing, adequate infrastructure to support a large new resident population, and enough accessible public open space. Friends of the High Line also hopes that any rezoning protects current portions of the new park and allows for the park's continued expansion.
