The Brooklyn Paper has filed a Freedom of Information Law request in order to get security plans from the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) for the Atlantic Yards project. A representative from ESDC stated that it is not the agency’s policy to disclose such security measures to the public. Others argue that because ESDC is a public agency, these security plans must be open to the public because they will play a significant role in the architecture plans and designs for the project.
